Violins

Born in Seoul, Stella Eunbyul Yoo began the violin at eight and turned to making to bring playing and craft together. In 2011 she moved to Italy to study at the A.S.I. School of Violin Making, and in 2015 was selected as apprentice to Luca Primon, who became her mentor for several years. At the 24th VSA competition in 2022 she received the Certificate for Artisanship for a viola. She has worked in the San Francisco Bay Area since 2018, building her own instruments and taking part regularly in the Oberlin workshop.
