Hyunjung Park
Born in Incheon, Korea, in 1990, Hyunjung Park studied violin from the age of seven and played in orchestras before turning to making. She entered the Istituto Stradivari in Cremona in 2011, winning awards at the A.N.L.A.I. competition and the 8th Sesto Fiorentino competition, and completed violin- and bow-making programmes at Academia Cremonensis. She then joined Amorim Fine Violins, specialising in replicas and antiqued instruments. At the 17th Cremona Triennale in 2024 she won a Gold Medal and the Best Varnish Award. She also builds instruments jointly with Kwanghoon Lee.
